Sports Broadcasting Assistant

The Role:

CAA Sports is looking for an Assistant to join the Sports Broadcasting Team in the Los Angeles office. Our Sports Broadcasting group represents some of the world's most prestigious talent, both in the booth and in the studio including TV personalities, analysts, sideline reporters, and hosts. In this role, you will initially be responsible for providing administrative support to two (2) Sports Agents and Executives. Assistants are an important part of the CAA structure, and it is hoped that the successful candidate will ultimately become an Agent within the company. Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day support for the team, including calendar management, travel arrangements, expenses, answering calls
• Prepare for meetings and appointments with clients, partners and external stakeholders
• Assist in client billing and accounting needs
• General market research on sports, media and entertainment related opportunities
• Manage a high-volume workload and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
• General assistance to the team with ongoing projects

Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business is preferred
• 1+ years of relevant internships or work experience in related fields including media, TV, sports, entertainment
• Administrative experience and experience with Microsoft Office is preferred
• General understanding of current sports industry and the nature of a talent agency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize a busy workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to develop business relationships at all levels
• Self-starter who takes initiative to explore and isn't afraid to ask questions

Education
• BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred.

Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
