Job Description
CAA Brand Consulting is the entertainment & sports marketing agency within CAA. Our mission is to drive cultural brand relevance for our clients by tapping into CAA's connectivity to pop culture. Leveraging our deep relationships and influence with studios, networks, labels, leagues, teams, venues, events, media, and content platforms, we provide a range of strategic and marketing consulting services to corporate clients around their entertainment & sports strategies.
The Role
CAA Brand Consulting is seeking a Social Impact Executive?. The Social Impact team services outside entities that wish to establish or improve their social impact, using resources to bring their social mission to life. We advise clients in this area through a process of discovering where their philanthropic passions lie and understanding where they want to effect change. CAA then designs a comprehensive, start-to-finish strategy that can shift principles into action. This role reports to a Social Impact Executive who leads various client accounts.
Responsibilities
• Act as principal point of contact and manage daily client communications and requests. Oversee coordination of meetings, calls and logistics. Lead agenda and call note distribution.
• Organize and distribute client status trackers and ensure its up to date on a weekly basis.
• Ability to project-manage to ensure team is tracking on required client deliverables
• Research, benchmark and analyze competitor and challenger brands as they relate to client industry and audience.
• Lead the development and coordination of deliverable presentations. Coordinate cross-departmentally to ensure all touch points are being tracked throughout the presentation.
• Build relationships across the agency and consult on trends and insights in the entertainment space as they relate to clients and their industry. Compile research and insights that inform and support relevant client work-streams
• Manage and oversee third party relationships and executions on behalf of client (including tracking and managing project budget, monitoring vendor work and contracts to ensure projects stay on-target, providing onsite support for client during productions and activations). Ensure deliverables are being met in the time agreed upon. Cross-collaborate with other agency partners as needed.
• Support the development of omni-channel communications frameworks and messaging documents for clients and spokespeople.
• Partner with the Social Impact team on group-wide thought leadership opportunities – writing op-eds, attending conferences / webinars, tracking trends and insights within the social impact landscape.
• Serve as a leader to junior staff and provide direction and supervision.
• Support internal account leaders and liaise with other key internal departments (i.e., analytics, creative services, experiential).
• Assist with new business pitch preparation and presentation development as needed.
Qualifications
• Minimum BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4+ years, with at least 1 year of strategy experience
• Project management experience required
• Experience in client service and relationship management preferred
• Entertainment knowledge and understanding of the social impact landscape preferred
• Experience in developing social impact strategy is preferred
• Experience in culinary events or industry-related activations is preferred
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Must be prepared to share writing samples and demonstrate strategic thinking
• Ability to travel and attend work events outside of normal business hours on an as needed basis
• Ability to understand and summarize the needs, goals, challenges, and capabilities of clients across a range of industries, synthesize this information, and produce high-quality written reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build interagency relationships and reputation with clients, partners, and colleagues
• Understanding of mainstream social issues and the curiosity to dig deep on specific topics (e.g., sustainability, human rights, mental health, food insecurity, education/literacy, etc.)
• Skilled in secondary research with the ability to gather data and synthesize insights across brand categories and the entertainment industry
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality when dealing with high profile clients
