The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Executive who will be responsible for leading brand positioning, revenue models, social service sales and more for CAA's in-house social media team. The ideal candidate will bring deep business development and sales expertise, direct experience selling individuals and companies social media services and the analytical skills and curiosity to craft custom solutions for a variety of clients.
Responsibilities:
• Act as business development and sales lead.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth across target markets and industries.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with agency objectives and service offerings (e.g., social media management, paid ads, content creation, influencer marketing).
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads using outreach methods such as cold emails, LinkedIn, networking, and inbound lead follow-up.
• Prepare and deliver compelling pitch presentations tailored to prospective clients' social media and digital marketing needs.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service scopes with clients to close deals efficiently and profitably.
• Track sales performance using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and provide regular reporting on KPIs and revenue targets.
• Develop service offerings and revenue models including social media, content distribution and creator strategy
• Build solutions that include Talent, Distribution, Data, Promotion/Marketing, and ROI/Measurement.
• Collaborate with social media strategy and creative teams on positioning, content ideas, development of pitch decks and sales tools.
• Work closely with social media and creative teams to ensure clients and are onboarded, well transitioned and relationships on all sides are properly managed.
• Create value and effectively communicate social agency's unique value proposition to partners via email, calls, meetings, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Understand the client roster and product offering to help build incremental revenue streams.
• Empower, keep teams on track, and participate in professional development of staff.
• Research and stay up to date on emerging film, TV, sports, music and creator social media trends.
Qualifications:
• 8 – 10+ years of experience within an or agency environment in content, digital, media and/or social
• Experience closing deals with individuals and brands for social media, influencer marketing and digital content distribution services (not talent deals)
• Strong knowledge of social media and entertainment trends, emerging media, consumer insights and the latest social, digital and YouTube trends
• Entrepreneurial mindset and approach to everything they do: self-motivated, resourceful, innovative, forward-thinking, accountable, and committed
• Project management expert with proven experience nurturing and growing key accounts
• Ability to effectively operate in fast-paced, growing and evolving environment and multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently
• Exceptional communicator
• Written and oral presentation expertise
• Willingness/ability to travel domestically and internationally
Location
This person will be based in the Los Angeles office; 4-days-a-week in office
