OVERVIEW

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sponsorship Sales – Property & Talent:
• Introduce CAA and our wider business to brands in Asia
• Establish C-level relationships with brands in Asia, especially China
• Maintain a healthy pipeline (to be agreed upon by line manager) of sales activities (new outreach, calls and meetings)
• Liaise with colleagues globally to leverage the CAA network and meet brands
• Assist colleagues in meeting with brands and support with any presentation material required for each meeting
• Negotiate with clients and brands to secure deals for clients
• Develop relationships and attend relevant events across the marketing and sports industries to raise the profile of CAA in market
• Identify key business networks and associations for CAA to be a member of
• Work to build relationship with non-clients so that CAA can remain opportunistic in the market
• Act as a conduit between Property Sales and Endorsement team in London/NYC and Asia office to aid in commercial conversations
• Regular reporting on general sports business activity in the region and wider business dynamics in Asia

Client Management:
• Developing and maintaining a brand outreach strategy for our key clients (CFG, F1, RBR, LoL etc)
• Creating a lead list with sales team for each client specifically for Formula One, Red Bull Racing and City Football Group
• Providing insights and updates to our clients on best strategy to grow their business and overall commercial appeal in Asia
• Join weekly/bi-weekly calls with clients to discuss prospect strategy
• Build strong relationships with key clients and update them on current status of respective brand conversations
• Invest time in looking after our clients so they experience the full reach of the agency

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Professional/Native Mandarin competency – both verbal and written
• Competent English language skills – both verbal and written
• Competencies in other Asian languages a plus
• Experience in working in Asia, specifically China with strong understanding of the Asian marketplace
• Experience in the following industries preferred - Marketing, Sales, Branding, Agency, Sports
• Experience in working in cross-cultural environments (Asia & Europe/US) preferred
• Track record in closing sponsorship deals in the region preferred
• Ability to communicate and build relationships at a senior level
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
• Willingness to travel short and long distance for business on a regular basis
