The Department
Evolution Media Capital (EMC) is a full-service financial advisory platform that provides a broad range of traditional?investment banking services to senior management, boards of directors, and institutional investors, including Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Capital Advisory .
The Role
EMC is looking for a Managing Director to join the firm's advisory team in its New York, NY office. EMC is primarily focused on providing traditional investment banking and strategic advisory services to maximize growth and expansion for its clients.

Team members will develop significant client access and deal experience earlier than at larger, more structured advisory firms.
A Managing Director at Evolution Media Capital is an experienced professional able to serve as a lead team member on client engagements. Given the firm's lean structure, the Managing Director will take an active role in running our deal teams and driving business origination.
Responsibilities
• Actively pursue business development opportunities and originate new client engagements for the Firm.
• Develop prospect and referral networks and support firm efforts in developing and executing business development and marketing strategies.
• Maintain deep knowledge and expertise across sports, media, entertainment and financial sectors.
• Lead a variety of transactions from initial opportunity development and client pitch, to transaction execution and closing.
• Manage day-to-day aspects of client relationships, transactions, and investment banking teams and serve as primary client contact on engagements.
• Provide leadership, professional development and mentoring for junior staff.
• Assist in establishing strategies for revenue generation and development of profitable client relationships
• Provides guidance to the team on policy and strategy
• Maintains the relationship with key members of CAA senior leadership
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience
• Proven track record of fee generation through new business development efforts, originating, executing and closing investment banking transactions.
• Established relationships and contacts with private equity firms, mid-cap and large-cap businesses, and other investment firms.
• Deep knowledge, expertise, and transaction history within sports, entertainment, and media sectors
• Demonstrated experience with managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships, transactions, and investment banking teams.
• Demonstrated deep understanding of the sell-side M&A process, complex transactions, creating buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring and negotiation.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage junior staff
• FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 required (or equivalent certifications)
• Bachelor's degree and MBA preferred
• Travel required: 50%
Location
This role is based out of the New York office.
Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $338,000 - $400,000 . This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
