The Role
CAA is seeking a Business Operations executive to join its Strategic Development team. The role will work closely with the Head of Strategic Development and other CAA executive leadership to drive prioritized strategies to execution. This leader will provide vision and leadership required to scale business operating models (people, processes, insights, systems) across key growth initiatives, driving the organization towards increased success as it scales.
This leader should bring deep operational expertise, married with market insights, creative vision, strategic thinking, and process know-how – to take ideas from initial brainstorm to an approved operational proposal to senior leadership. The incumbent will serve as quarterback on strategic and operational deliverables, developing clearly defined execution plans to drive opportunities forward, ensuring leadership has a pulse on optimized resource allocation and success metrics.
The candidate will join a nimble group of professionals with backgrounds in media & technology, growth strategy and innovation, investment banking, and private equity, who serve as in-house advisors to CAA's executive leadership. The candidate will gain meaningful exposure to a wide array of projects across different sectors of the media and entertainment industry.
Role
• Partner with Strategy to inform and advance the operationalization of new business opportunities
• Work cross-functionally with senior leadership (e.g. strategy, business affairs, legal, finance, accounting, department heads, et al) – to drive initiatives to execution, including development of and advisement on optimal processes, organizational structure, and resource needs
• Lead executive reporting of progress, milestones, budget and risk management for key growth initiatives
• Work with leadership to develop, measure and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with growth initiatives, to ensure quality, time, service and productivity goals are met
• Participate as a member of the Leadership team in planning, policy development and support related to Operations functions
• Integrate best practices across all growth initiatives
Requirements
• 10+ years' experience in corporate strategy, business operations, and/or innovation and growth execution roles at leading entertainment or technology companies
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree desirable, but not required
• Demonstrated experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical) and crafting original strategic recommendations with limited involvement from leadership
• Proven track record of selling through recommendations to internal teams and/or clients; demonstrated success in turning ideas into actions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in media/entertainment/technology industry terms and trends
• Ability to partner across the organization to drive process efficiency and engagement objectives
• Strong project management skills – ability to plan, manage and structure work in an efficient and timely manner
Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $300k-$350k.
