As a Finance Manager, you will report directly into the Finance Director, CAA UK & International and play a key role in supporting the finance activities for the continually growing CAA business. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who can work accurately and to tight deadlines. Teamwork will be essential.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
• Support the Financial Controllers with the maintenance of clean general ledgers and monthly close processes, including monthly, quarterly, and year- end close procedures.
• Establishment and streamlining of key finance processes
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Active involvement in the roll out of multiple finance initiatives including finance systems
• Approve daily accounting entries across sales ledger/purchase ledger and cash transactions, and complete month end process preparing/reviewing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support in the preparation of financial schedules, ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support the preparation of monthly management reporting packages for submission to Finance Director, CAA UK & International, adhering to month end deadlines. Including analysis of fluctuations in monthly operating results.
• Approve client and office bank payments up to certain thresholds.
• Review of aged debtors/creditors reports and monthly update presenting to Finance Director.
• Review of new deal contracts and application of revenue recognition policy.
• Support Group and local UK statutory audits for various CAA entities.
• Implement and maintain strong & effective financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Identify potential process efficiencies & contribute towards a high standard, continuous improvement culture.
• Maintain documentation of company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
• Review, assess and document accounting and financial reporting implications of complex transactions.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary.
• Support CAA International finance function as required.
• Management of high profile stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, ideally with a minimum of 3 years post qualification relevant experience in industry.
• Must have strong analytics, a detail focused approach and broad technical comprehension including an understanding of IFRS, UK and US GAAP.
• Must have good, working knowledge of standard finance processes (i.e. AP, AR, GL accounting, Bank processes).
• Must have strong ability to multi-task and manage various tasks simultaneously
• Must have a high level of attention to detail and great organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude.
• Good Excel proficiency e.g. VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables.
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP is desirable.
• Key stakeholder management experience is required
