Who We Are
The Role
The world's leading full-service entertainment, media, and sports agency is seeking an Associate to support the Member Services and Compensation Planning (Equity Operations, Compensation Planning and Analyst) department. Member Services supports the equity owners of the company by delivering high -touch, white glove service across a range of functions. The team manages member communications, equity and compensation administration, acting as a bridge between CAA's corporate functions and the equity owners of the company. Compensation Planning supports cost planning and analysis of compensation across the company, providing actionable insights that allow management to manage cost and reward performance.
The position focuses primarily on operational strategy and analysis. The ideal candidate has a background in finance with a passion for data analysis and process, is a self-starter, and possesses a desire to gain exposure to the business and legal aspects of the entertainment industry (this role is not for candidates seeking the Agent career path).
The A ssociate will be responsible for supporting critical business processes, gathering and analyzing data and assisting with systems development and implementation to support Member Services strategy initiatives. The A ssociate will work closely with other Corporate Finance teams and Project Managers as a key source to bridge information between the groups. The Associate will review and analyze data, create reports or presentations, and assist with project implementation and tracking. The role adheres to strict confidentiality requirements regarding employee compensation and other sensitive topics. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite in our Los Angeles (Century City) office.
Responsibilities
The A ssociate 's responsibilities include the following:
• Support SVP and Director with strategy and development in all aspects of Member Services and Compensation Planning (Equity Operations, Compensation Planning and Analyst)
• Support core Member Services and Compensation Planning functions, including;
• Member compensation and equity administration
• Member communications
• Support FP&A and Agency Ops in the annual compensation planning cycle, including AOP, Reforecast and year-end projection
• Develop presentation materials for reporting to Members and management
• Provide support for other Corporate Finance teams such as Tax, Accounting and Treasury
• Analyze existing processes and data to identify recommendations for improvement
• Monitor and track implementation of new systems supporting Member Services and Compensation Planning
• Leverage analytical tools such as Power BI to assist in developing and high-quality ad hoc analysis and reports as requested
• Cultivate relationships within Finance and Accounting to build a robust communication network
Education and Work Experience
• BS or BA required with a concentration in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
• 4+ years financial analysis and/or accounting experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Finance required . Strong time management, decision-making, attention to detail, and interpersonal and communication skills are required .
• Ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines; manage multiple projects and expectations; and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities.
Preferred
Sports and/or Entertainment industry experience.
Location: This is an hybrid based out of our Los Angeles office.
Compensation The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $100,000 - $120,000 in Los Angeles. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
