OVERVIEW
Creative Artists Agency is seeking an experienced Director, International Tax to support CAA's worldwide business operations outside the United States. Based out of our London office, this role will define the tax function across EU, APAC, MEA & LATAM and be responsible for collating tax-related information, ensuring the company complies with the relevant tax authorities for the region and advising the business on the tax implications for various corporate strategies.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced tax leader, able to work with a high level of collaboration, functioning as a tax adviser to Global Finance leaders seeking to implement new initiatives and managing tax planning projects across jurisdictions worldwide.
Responsibilities
to include but not limited to:
• Provide dedicated corporate income tax advice, develop international tax strategy, and drive implementation of solutions, including communicating with local revenue authorities.
• Full accountability for direct and indirect tax compliance and quarterly reporting across multiple jurisdictions and managing outsider advisors. This includes, but is not limited to, corporate income tax returns, CFC reporting, transfer pricing, and BEPS reporting.
• Work collaboratively with the Global Head of Tax, CAA Deputy CFO and CAA International CFO, and the Finance Director Europe to effectively report statutory accounts and quarterly and year-end tax provisions, applying US GAAP rules. This role reports to the Global Head of Tax in Los Angeles.
• Lead tax matters on acquisitions and collaborate relevant internal stakeholders and business leaders. This includes any post acquisition structuring and integration.
• Identify, develop and implement international tax process improvements.
• Preparing and presenting complex tax matters to regional business leaders and outlining the tax strategy and process improvements.
• Developing documentation to support tax positions.
• Managing internal/external teams on compliance, provision, audits, and tax planning.
• Managing queries and tax matters from across EU, APAC, MEA & LATAM.
• Able to summarise financial data into high quality, accurate and usable summaries for tax audit purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Tax experience including public accounting/law firm and corporate experience within a similar role.
• Must be Tax or Accountancy qualified – i.e., ATT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with solid post-qualified experience.
• Strong general knowledge of worldwide income taxation of corporate transactions.
• Must have experience working for a global organisation.
• Leadership experience is a must and an ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior management.
• Strong analytical skills, including a detail focused approach and broad technical comprehension including an understanding of US GAAP and local statutory accounting.
• Ability to analyse and make recommendations, alongside the capacity to drive through key business changes.
• Strong business partnering skills a must.
• Experience in dealing with VAT issues is desired.
• Ability to quickly understand and integrate business objectives with tax strategies.
• Ability to prioritise effectively, in a busy and ever-developing environment.
• Proven track record in providing tax advice across the EU & worldwide.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred, but not essential.
• Some experience with U.S. income taxation of corporate transactions preferred, but not essential.
• Relevant industry experience preferred but not essential.
