The Office of General Counsel at CAA ICON is looking for an Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business legal expertise, business acumen, and commitment to our Company mission. With a focus on commercial contracting, the Associate General Counsel will play a crucial role in facilitating agreements, managing risk, and advising on commercial and procurement issues. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to effectively prioritize and organize a high volume of work. If you want to be part of a fast-paced environment and can work with constant time demands, you will enjoy this position. Tasks will vary, but day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:
Responsibilities
• Draft and negotiate commercial legal agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of CAA ICON services.
• Employ negotiation skills that optimize collaboration across departments, merging business acumen with legal expertise to facilitate the efforts of various teams.
• Ensure agreements and transactions with clients comply with CAA ICON's policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain, optimize and enhance CAA ICON's contract management lifecycle policies, procedures, and tools.
• Keep internal and external stakeholders informed on agreements and assignments.
• Provide legal support in connection with developing risk-management processes and resolving potential compliance issues.
• Roll up your sleeves to take on tasks both big and small with low ego and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Address other ad-hoc or specialized legal issues as they arise.

Requirements
• 4-6 years of professional experience - a combination of law firm and in-house experience is preferred.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Colorado bar is required.
• Experience in contract drafting and negotiation while balancing legal and financial issues.
• Experience in commercial construction full cycle.
• Experience managing a high volume of revenue, procurement, and other contract requests.
• Proven ability to build and improve operationally excellent processes.
• Proven interpersonal and presentation skills, and ability to develop a strong rapport and working relationship with business counterparts and internal stakeholders.
• A keen sense of ownership, desire to learn, and make a cross-functional impact.
• Willingness to travel when necessary.
• Track record of successfully delivering quality content consistently and on time (in the face of demanding deadlines), while always demonstrating discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience in employment practices, corporate governance, and commercial litigation a bonus.

This role is based out of Denver, CO
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $138,000 - $160,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
