The Role
We are looking for an Assistant to support a senior agent in our Media Finance Group in Los Angeles.
The office's primary responsibility is to help package, finance, and sell films outside of the studio system, and is heavily involved in film sales across all the major festivals such as Cannes, Sundance and Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a passion for film and curiosity for how films are developed, financed, and sold. Additionally, the Assistant is administratively capable of handling a high volume of tasks, across multiple time-zones, with the ability to clearly communicate with the agent, clients, and peers.
Responsibilities
Administrative duties include calendar management, scheduling travel, booking reports, preparing expense reports, and general office management tasks. Serve as first point of contact with clients and executives. Track clients, potential clients projects, and financiers. Assist with special projects, research, flagging trades, news, and compiling information as needed.
Qualifications
• 1 year + of professional working experience in an administrative or project management capacity.
• Ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines; balance multiple projects and expectations; and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
• Attention to detail, follow-up, and strong organizational skills are a requirement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality is a must.
• Adept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and become familiar with existing systems.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite.
Education
• BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred.
