The Role:
CAA is seeking an assistant to support an Agent in our Comedy Touring department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who 1) is interested in the business side of comedy and actively listens to it, and/or 2) has a passion for the booking/touring process. The candidate should be motivated, quick-thinking and open to working in an environment where he/she is capable of performing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. The individual should be flexible, highly organized and have the ability to prioritize. Administrative duties include heavy phones, coordinating meetings and schedules, preparing expense reports, producing correspondence and special projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for comedy talent and the booking / touring process. Growth opportunities exist for top performers.
Responsibilities:
• Administrative duties including handling heavy phones, calendar management, scheduling travel, booking reports, preparing expense reports, and general office management tasks.
• Serve as first point of contact with clients, buyers, agents, executives in both the comedy touring and podcast spaces .?
• Track clients and potential clients.?
• Assist with special projects, research, and compiling information as needed.?
• Input offers and follow-up with buyers.
• Track ticket sales for shows on-sale and input into the system.
• Track contracts and deposits for Network and Live Touring client deals.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of administrative assistant experience , or comparable experience , includ ing answering phones, heavy meeting and schedule coordination, preparing expense reports, producing correspondence, and travel coordination.
• BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred.
• Ability to anticipate needs and execute time sensitive matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible with work hours.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong professional interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality is a must.
• Must be solutions oriented.
• Computer literate (PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
