About Internship
BuzzFeed is looking for strategy-focused MBA students who love the entertainment industry to help us think strategically about how we expand our business. This is a part-time paid internship for the Spring 2018 semester (starts in January) based in New York City, NY or Los Angeles, CA. During this internship, you'll have the opportunity to work on at least one project that will help us expand our business. Projects could include:
• Working to further development of some of our content verticals (could include multicultural, lifestyle or news)
• Work with our Owned & Operated General Manager on various initiatives
• Work with various BuzzFeed stakeholders to research and develop strategy for how we partner with existing and emerging platforms
• Work with Development team to analyze and evaluate potential new content initiatives
• Partner with senior leaders to design new initiatives for their organizations
We will match interns to projects based on strengths, experience and the most relevant needs of the organization at the time of the internship.
Requirements:
• MBA student (preferably in your 2nd year)
• Experience working in the entertainment industry through internships and/or full-time roles
• Ability to turn ideas into a sound business plan
• Comfortable networking and working across functions
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to work in small teams as well as go off on your own
• A positive, curious, playful disposition (no haters)
