Reality Casting Associate Producer

BuzzFeed is looking for a smart, quick thinking, organized Reality Casting Associate Producer to support the Casting Manager and production teams. Responsibilities include sending out breakdowns, organizing auditions, running casting sessions, building database and booking talent on multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of all casting services as well as lists of local and nationwide contacts. MUST be able work in groups of all sizes.

This job is full-time, based in Los Angeles.

The Reality Casting Associate Producer's responsibilities will include assisting the Casting Team and Casting Manager in facilitating casting needs for reality based projects including but not limited to:
• Outreach to organizations and individuals as pertains to reality projects
• Creating a database of resources to facilitate casting needs
• Schedule and hold video conference calls with talent
• Confirm talent for shoots
• Talent liaison for shoots, including working with agents, managers, and talent directly
• Check actor conflicts and obtain proper paperwork
• Build Reality Casting Database
• Scout local talent
• Schedule auditions for multiple projects
• Prepare audition materials
• Pitch projects to potential talent
• Help run casting sessions
• Ability to be flexible with unique projects and outrageous casting requests

Requirements/Skills
• 2 years casting experience - experience in the digital landscape a plus
• Working knowledge of Mac, Breakdown Express, Casting Frontier, EcoCast, LA Casting, Casting Crane, Skype, Google Suite, etc.
• Positive attitude, friendly, outgoing
• Must be able to work as a team as well as individually
• Ability to multitask
• Work on tight deadlines
• Must have a sensitivity for minorities (i.e. LGBTQ communities, people with disabilities, etc)
• Tech savvy and knowledge of equipment and programs used for video calls and auditions
• Must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Active knowledge of the local sketch/improv/stand up scene is a large plus
• Active knowledge of current events, pop culture, and global events
• Bilingual is a plus
