The Role

BuzzFeed is looking for a passionate and resourceful Culinary Producer who can aid in creating compelling original recipes and video content for Tasty. Reporting to our Senior Culinary Producer, you'll work on our Hollywood campus with a small team of culinary professionals to develop recipes and lead and assist shoots. We are seeking a culinary professional with experience in production and food media.

You Will
• As a Culinary Producer, you will be on set and behind the scenes of Tasty shoots featuring talent.
• Your duties will include recipe testing & development, shopping for & prepping ingredients and cooking behind the scenes to ensure all food is camera ready on time.
• Experience, flexibility, speed and accuracy is required for this role.
• This is an in-office role (5 days a week) in our Los Angeles studio in Hollywood.
• Serve as culinary producer, food stylist and recipe developer for Tasty original content across multiple platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
• Play an active role on culinary team and stay on top of trends in food media to pitch recipe ideas that embody the Tasty brand
• Handle projects and productions from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Maintain a clean and tidy test kitchen space, including but not limited to ordering supplies, managing inventory and storage organization
• Maintain open communications with the studio teams for facilities-related needs
• Ensure compliance with health regulations in accordance to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety guidelines

You Have
• 4 years of food media experience
• 4 years of recipe development with experience in international cuisine and high comfort level in both sweet and savory cooking
• 4 years of food styling experience
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal written and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Tasty video content and understanding of our overall point of view on
