About BuzzFeed and HuffPost
In 2021, BuzzFeed acquired HuffPost, a leading source of news and commentary for the most diverse and connected generation ever. HuffPost believes in putting people before power and telling the stories that too often go unheard, from the voices that matter. With this acquisition, BuzzFeed's scale, engagement and cultural impact will be unrivaled.
The role
This is a 24 month fixed-term role.
HuffPost UK is looking for an audience editor to join its new shopping team, which oversees E-commerce at HuffPost UK.
You will
We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping people find and purchase products that will make their lives easier. You will be responsible for making sure as many people as possible discover HuffPost's shopping content. You'll need to show you have experience in driving traffic. You will also need to prove that you can: grow social media accounts (specifically, Facebook pages); write great SEO and social headlines; identify trends and what people want to buy; run a regular email newsletter; and collaborate with writers to produce notable E-commerce content. You should also be comfortable in using data to inform decisions and track how content is performing.
You have
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in E-commerce or audience development (or similar fields, like SEO or social media editing). Candidates with experience in lifestyle journalism or product reviews should also consider applying. Lastly, we're looking for someone who is willing to learn and help adapt a new, exciting part of HuffPost UK.
To apply
Submit PDF versions of your CV and a cover letter via the form on this page. Please address your cover letter to Harry Slater, Head of Audience Development for HuffPost UK.
