Associate Community Editor

This is a Full Time Job


We're looking for a detail-oriented Associate Community Editor to moderate, edit, and manage content created by the BuzzFeed.com community. This role is primarily an editing role but with opportunities to write.

You Will
• Review, edit, and promote user-generated list and quiz content
• Monitor and use traffic data to moderate incoming user content
• Promote posts tied to traffic and deploy proven content framing methods
• Make decisions on what to delete/ban
• Identify and escalate more controversial posts
• Moderate user comments
• Communicate clearly and positively with BuzzFeed's Community users

You Have
• A love for working with users and fostering creativity in communities
• Excellent grammar and a high level of attention to detail
• A sense of what resonates with BuzzFeed.com's audience
• The ability to coordinate and strategize effectively with other Community Editors
• Experience working with online communities preferred
• Interest in and knowledge of social media and digital publishing
• 1 years experience in community moderation or editing
