POSITION: TECH SUPPORT TEAM MEMBER
We are looking for someone who is passionate about our industry, a fast learner, and is driven to help us continue to excel in world-class customer service and operations for our clients. The Tech Support team member would be integrated into the team responsible for first tier, client facing support of our fleet of offline editing systems. The successful applicant will support both in house and remote stations for editors, producers and GFX as well as our finishing department for color in resolve, online and mixing in Pro-Tools. Previous knowledge of Avid Nexis, Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Resolve and the Adobe Creative Cloud are preferred. In order to be successful in this role you must be:
1. Self-Motivated
Able to complete tasks and identify issues to fix without supervision. A large portion of the role will be resolving small issues that arise with the editorial team which will require an independent thinker motivated to research and resolve issues independently. This could include but is not limited to knowing when to pull and prep gear for an upcoming project on the schedule or, finding best practices/solutions for common problems and documenting them. This is not a role where every task will be defined. Knowing when you can solve things independently and when to ask for help will be key.
2. Technically Adept
We will screen candidates for technical prowess and aptitude. Ideal candidates should have a love for technology and be interested in how technology can help facilitate and solve problems within the creative industry while maintaining strict security standards.
3. Personable
You need to have a calm and confident demeanor. This is a client-centric business, so you need to make sure each and every client feels supported and that you are at ease during any support interaction. Being part of the team that is often first to respond to a support call, it's essential that you are able to communicate effectively and articulate a clear plan of action for resolution.
4. Organized & Detail-Oriented
Organization is key. The more orderly things are, the more productive everyone can be. We take great pride and care in the appearance of our facility. Tech workstations and cable closets are included in these organizational standards.
5. Great Time Manager
With so many things to accomplish in a day, this person needs to know how to manage their time and make sure important tasks are completed on time. The company often has objectives that require multiple departments to work on tasks simultaneously for a common goal, so it's a must that you are organized and are able to stick to timelines set to complete tasks. Ability to prioritize tasks and raise issues early is key.
6. Resourceful
We are not expecting this new team member or any team member to know everything, we expect you to ask questions and quickly learn! You will have a strong team to learn from, and this is a role for someone interested and able to quickly learn to support our clients and business.
