Buddha Rose is looking for trailer editors with an ability to create Theatrical stories by crafting footage, using sound design, music, and graphics to tell a narrative that is visually and emotionally striking.
Buddha Rose is part of the Buddha Jones creative collective, an entertainment marketing company based in Hollywood. For more than 13 years Buddha Jones has collaborated with top content creators to create bold and innovative advertising for the entertainment industry. Our portfolio includes movie trailers, TV commercials, digital and social media campaigns, logos, branding and content creation for a wide range of clients including Warner Brothers, Universal, Sony, Paramount, A24, Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Cinemax, Hulu and others.
Duties:
• Create movie trailers, TV spots, sizzle reels, social media/digital pieces, video game trailers based on client and producer direction
• Work with music department to select music and sounds effects from approved libraries to incorporate into cuts
• Revise trailer and TV spots based on client notes
• Ability to tell story in short form
• Ability to work with Theatrical studio clients
• Ability to work with Broadcast/Streaming clients
• Ability to work with Video Games clients and developers
• Collaborate with team members on creative direction
• Collaborate with graphics departments for cards
• Attend meetings with clients and producers
• Collaborate with writers on scripts
• Creatively execute client input
• Break down movies (dialogue, scenes)
• Maintain other people's cuts when necessary
• Bring an original vision with little support
Qualifications:
• Proficient in AVID
• Music sensibility
• Ability to prioritize
• Awareness of trends for film, TV, streaming, video games, and social media marketing
• Organized
• Knowledge of marketing
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Understanding of shared network (ISIS)
• Flexibility in changing priorities, expectation, and direction
• Understanding of HD formats
