Buchwald is looking to hire a creative, entry level Audio Editor in the Los Angeles office. This position will work independently on VO casting sessions as well as assist with sizzle reels, concept videos and self-tape recordings in the Self Tape Studio. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months editing experience, be highly organized, ambitious, detail oriented and computer savvy.
Must have a background in music recording or production and have a basic understanding of Audacity/Pro Tools or be willing to learn. Experience with VO Studio/audio mixing/sound engineering/podcast recording is a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
• Setting up and breaking down recording sessions
• Edit casting sessions via Audacity or Pro Tools
• Record and Edit Live Voice-Over talent both in our dedicated, in-house booth, and over ISDN or other remote services when necessary
• Version already Mixed spots and Update existing campaigns, insuring the highest sonic quality and meeting both client and FCC deliverable specifications
• Mix Promotional Campaigns, Graphics Packages, Sales Reels and Sizzles in Stereo and 5.1 on Pro Tools (PC)
• Work with Clients, Creative Team, Editors, Writers, and Producers on original projects from concept to completion, insuring the highest quality of audio experience
• Work unsupervised under tight deadlines
• Assist clients with in-home studio set up
• Screen record client footage from various films and television shows
• Edit client reels and scenes
• Edit client self-tape auditions
• Read (remotely) with clients for self-tape auditions
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
• 6 months editing experience required
• Knowledge of Pro Tools, Audacity, OBS Studio and Movavi preferred
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong digital asset management skills
• Experience with codecs, video formats, image types, resolutions frame rates as they pertain to digital media trends
• Must be meticulous, technical, organized and creative simultaneously
• Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables
• Impeccable attention to detail and high level of organization
• Must be able to handle a heavy volume
• Excellent communication and social skills
• Great people skills and must be flexible enough to work with different personalities
• Pro-active and responsible
• Must be meticulous, technical, organized and creative simultaneously.
