This internship is focused on helping us explore, test, and build AI tools and resources that can make our in-house process more efficient and effective. You'll work alongside our production and creative teams to identify areas where AI could actually be useful, experiment with different tools and approaches, and help turn the ones that work into practical resources we can use across our projects.
Some experiments will work. Some won't. That's the point. We're looking for someone who is excited to dig into new technology, figure out what's genuinely useful, and help us build a smarter, more effective creative workflow.
This is an in-person Fall 2026 internship based in our Burbank studio. Interns may work up to 24 hours per week. Please note that housing and relocation assistance are not provided.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
Research and test AI tools - Explore new AI tools, models, and workflows to see where they could be useful in our production process.
Identify opportunities for AI in our workflow - Work with our production and creative teams to find repetitive, time-consuming, or challenging tasks where AI could help.
Build and test internal resources - Create workflows, tools, templates, experiments, and other resources that could make our in-house production process more efficient.
Compare and evaluate different approaches - Test multiple tools and methods against the same problem and document what works, what doesn't, and why.
Share your findings with the team - Present your experiments and recommendations to the studio, explain what you learned, and get feedback from our creative and production teams.
Help build our internal AI knowledge base - Document useful tools, workflows, prompts, models, and best practices so the team can easily reference and use them.
Stay current with emerging technology - Keep up with new AI tools and developments and help us determine which ones are actually worth exploring for professional creative work.

Bubba's LA is a small creative studio in Burbank specializing in animation, motion design, live-action production, VFX, CG, and emerging creative technologies. We create commercial content for brands by combining storytelling, design, and technology, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages curiosity, initiative, and learning.
