Summary
The Community Relations Coordinator will assist and execute community relations programs, initiatives, and special events throughout the local community

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with planning and execution of community programs, initiatives and special events for the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center as it relates to our pillars;
• Assist in planning and execution of the Brooklyn Nets Foundation, Barclays Center Cares, and NBA Cares events and activities;
• Responsible for handling and fulfilling all donation requests, and providing monthly/yearly summaries for all donations;
• Sell, schedule and execute game night fan experiences (VIP Night, Message Board, Ball Kid, etc.) to benefit the Brooklyn Nets Foundation;
• Assist with planning and the execution of the Brooklyn Nets Basketball Academy clinics and camps;
• Organize, record and track all community, alumni and player appearances
• Coordinate and execute player autograph sessions;
• Assist in distribution of complimentary tickets to non-profits and community groups;
• Coordinate employee volunteer opportunities;
Education and/or Experience
• 2-3 years of community relations experience in sports or entertainment industry;
• Bachelor's degree required.

• Keen attention to detail, strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills;
• Flexible and reliable standout colleague, always acting in the best interest of their department and the company as a whole
• Ability to build and maintain productive, positive relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a strong ability to manage one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives;
Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on rare occasions (<15% travel); trips may require travel within the New York City area to attend community events, clinics, etc.
Work Environment
Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend Brooklyn Nets games and other events taking place on weekends and holidays.
