2018 Print Traffic Coordinator Call:
The Brooklyn Film Festival is seeking a Print Traffic Coordinator to assist with the 2018 production. This position functions to help support the Festival's goals and objectives in a fast paced, hands-on environment. This is a paid position for the period of May 1st to June 15th, 2018.
The Print Traffic Coordinator, under the supervision of the Production Manager, will manage print traffic for the Brooklyn Film Festival, which will take place June 1st to 10th, 2018. The Coordinator will develop relationships with Festival Programmers and Programming Assistants to secure on-time receipt of film media, and arrange for timely shipping of prints and videos.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain print tracking database and continual reporting of print status
Track shipping and receiving of all films and videos, including theater assignment and post-festival destination
Liaise with projectionists and venue managers at each festival venue
Quality control to ensure film data is accurate
Timely delivery to and pick up from festival venues
Maintain shipping costs within festival budget
Work with shipping companies to import and export films
Assist with house and projection operations during festival
Assist Technical Director as needed
Complete wrap report and participate in debriefing meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with film media and technical standards required
Ability to work efficiently and under deadline pressure
Ability to lead & motivate a team with diverse backgrounds
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, smart phones, and Google Drive
Must be comfortable with occasional heavy lifting
Prior experience with logistics and film festivals a plus
