Bret Adams Ltd. Artist's Agency: Acting Intern
Bret Adams Ltd., a boutique talent agency, is accepting applications for a 2019 Summer internship, to start early May and continue through late August. Flexible start and end dates. Part Time (2-3 days per week).
Bret Adams Ltd. represents actors, writers, directors, theatrical designers, and composers. The Intern will support and assist the Acting Department and will have the opportunity to experience the business in its entire spectrum. This internship is unpaid and offers college credit, and is ideal for students and early-career professionals interested in General Management, Producing, Casting, or Theatrical Management. Knowledge in theatre, film and television necessary. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills (oral and written), excellent organizational skills, and an upbeat personality. Experience with Breakdown Services, Google Office Suite, and Dropbox preferred.
The intern's duties and educational benefits include:
- Keeping all records up-to-date (audition sheets, actors resumes, agency website, etc.)
- Answering and directing phone calls for both the acting and literary departments (including corresponding with casting and clients)
- Tracking and filing breakdowns for the acting agents.
- Assist in the submission process.
- Observing the negotiation of theatre, film, and television contracts. Requirements include strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, a general knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and strong attention to detail.
