Associate Attorney - Digital Media, Brand & Entertainment Transactions
The Opportunity
BFBST is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team with a heavy emphasis on the firm's rapidly growing digital media and brand practice, while also handling traditional entertainment transactions across film and television. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated attorney to work at the center of where entertainment, technology, and branding intersect - representing actors, influencers, and other artists across the full range of deals that today's talent needs.
The ideal candidate is comfortable moving fluidly between the two worlds: negotiating conventional film, television agreements on one matter, and turning to an influencer platform deal or celebrity brand licensing agreement on the next. A genuine interest in, and working knowledge of, the digital content, social media, and influencer marketing landscape is essential, but so is a solid foundation in traditional entertainment deal structures, since our clients' careers, and the deals we do for them, increasingly span both.
What You'll Do
Digital & Brand
• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of brand and endorsement agreements, including talent/brand ambassador deals, sponsored content agreements, and multi-platform campaign deals
• Advise influencers and digital creators on platform agreements, content licensing, MCN and management agreements, merchandise, and monetization strategies across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms
• Support celebrity brand creation and licensing, including the formation, licensing, and protection of talent-owned brands, product lines, and consumer goods ventures
• Handle transactions involving games, toys, and new media rights tied to talent and intellectual property
• Negotiate agreements related to digital publishing, podcasts, and other emerging content formats
Traditional Entertainment
• Negotiate film and television deals for actors, writers, directors, and producers, including talent/development deals
• Support publishing and stage deals, book and life-rights agreements, and other traditional entertainment IP transactions
