Intern - to WriterProducer

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

A Writer/Producer is seeking a reliable, resourceful and self-motivated individual as an intern to work on several projects with her for entertainment 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and for her production company. The intern will perform research, design flyers/marketing images, participating in production phases AND event planning tasks. This is a very unique position for someone who wants to build hand-on experience and industry contacts to further their own entertainment career.

Responsibilities researching online, scheduling and participating in board meetings by taking notes, preparing and typing up documents, and assisting with pre-production for various creative projects and attending industry networking events in the evening (virtual). Major phone (via text) and email communication. Also, some event planning tasks assisting the events assistant intern with posting events online, sending confirmations and developing check-in lists and bio hand outs.

This position is ideal for someone seeking a learning opportunity more about the industry as a whole as well as film/TV producing and event/non-profit management. If you have an outgoing and likable personality, is responsible, organized and hardworking, we invite you to apply! Hours per week are approx 10 hrs for a minimum 3-month commitment (or semester commitment if for college credit)

It is also a GREAT networking opportunity for an aspiring or mid-level professional in the arts, media or entertainment field.

Founded in May 2005, Breaking into Hollywood, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists aspiring professionals in the entertainment industry with achieving their goals. We encourage our members to pursue their careers with creativity, enthusiasm and integrity. Past event speakers include executives at Disney, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, GRAMMYs, other studios, talent agencies and prominent producers, writers, actors, etc.

Requirements:
- Must have access to computer and internet
- Three month commitment (required)
- Reliable transportation & live in Los Angeles County
- Must be excellent with using Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to take direction and work independently
- Must be highly organized.
- Great interpersonal communication skills. Love people.
- Available to attend most BiH events, which are mostly Mon/Wed evenings.
- Must have a passion for diversity and the entertainment industry!
