POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Red Sox are looking to add a bilingual marketer to assist all functions of the Red Sox social media and Marketing teams. The Spanish Social Media & Digital Marketing Assistant will support game-day digital needs for the organization, as well as support ongoing Spanish-language projects for the organization. Specifically, the role requires in-game live-tweeting, posting highlights to several social media channels, and working to shape the online voice and tone of the brand on our Spanish accounts. The person in this role will also sit in on content meetings to assist in the development on Spanish-first content, as well as collaborate on other marketing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with club social team and MLB Spanish social team to coordinate live coverage of all games including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram needs
• Translation of graphics, copy, and other digital assets
• Assist with in-game social responsibilities for home & away games
• Oversee 1:1 fan engagement across Spanish social platforms
• Edit and share game recap content across all club Spanish social media
• Assist with tracking and reporting on account growth and overall performance
• Assist with managing Spanish social calendar
• Work with club social, creative, photo, and video productions team to identify opportunities for/to develop Spanish first content.
• Work with club digital team and MLB Spanish producer to update club website and email with ticketing news, club news, and more
• Work with club digital team on coordination of live reads for Spanish Radio
CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be bilingual (Spanish/English) to qualify
• Required fluency (speaking and writing) in Spanish
• A deep understanding of all major social platforms and trends including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
• A strong handle of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and social voice
• Keen editorial sense and significant attention to detail
• Exercise excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts last from 2-3 hours before first pitch until 45-90 minutes after the final out for both home and away games from late March to potentially mid-November depending on post-season presence
• Extensive knowledge of baseball and the league
• Prior experience handling a brand or team social account is a plus
