Part Time Paid Internship

The Boston Red Sox are looking for two (2) individuals to help assist with the management of the Florida Operations department. In this internship, you will have the chance to experience and learn the many facets of spring training ballpark operations as well as how to run numerous non-baseball events. These roles are pivotal in JetBlue Park's success and offer interns the opportunity to learn and experience what it takes to prepare for, run, and close down an impactful spring training experience.
Start Date: October 3rd, 2022
End Date: April 2023
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
• Assist in setup and breakdown of all events held at JetBlue Park including Open House, Fenway South Farmer's Market, Red Sox Fantasy Camp, concerts, 5k races, food festivals, and many other events.
• Assist in putting on the Swings for the Sox charity golf tournament.
• Setup, execution and breakdown of all Spring Training related areas inside and outside the ballpark.
• Assist in managing building/ballpark security systems and safety protocols.
• Assist with oversight and management of the athletic hydrotherapy area.
• Assist with ballpark walkthroughs, recording of safety and/or facility issues, and following up on repairs and maintenance.
• Coordination/setup of all pregame Fenway South Drive Entertainment.
• Coordinate and lead all building organization activities to ensure Club's high standards for order and cleanliness are maintained.
• Assist with the organization and planning of all rental needs for Spring Training.
• Serve as a liaison between the game day staff and management.
• Assist with the inventory of received shipments and promotional products.
• Transportation to and from airports/hotels for Red Sox personnel.
• Assisting with all UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and USPS deliveries and shipments.
CHARACTERISTICS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team environment.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to deliver an excellent fan experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform manual labor and lift 40 pounds.
• Work often involves being outside.
• College credit is available, if needed for graduation, but not a requirement.

• This is a paid internship.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
