Social Media Manager - Responsible for Social Media, Content, Fandom and Commerce:
This role leads the day to day aspects of digital content and posting, fandom and community management and commerce at an established music management firm located in Nashville.
Looking for a strategic marketer, content creator and lover of music and entertainment to join the team.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Maintenance and execution of all things social media for artist across all platforms, most importantly: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram
Posting other relevant announcements, tour dates, merchandise, etc. from a third person voice across relevant platforms
Upkeep of Social Editorial Calendar
Content creation (videos, graphics, gifs, etc.) for various needs (pushing a tour announcement, pushing ticket sales for a specific show, pushing merch) using Photoshop, Premiere or other useful apps like Canva, InShot, etc.
Work with outside design resources to create additional promotional assets
Monitor all socials for tags/mentions
Maintenance and execution of all things relating to YouTube Channel:
Native video uploads (for all non-Vevo video content)
Page management, including playlist building, homepage curation and banner creation and upload
YouTube community management
Reporting
Weekly reporting on current singles and albums
Quarterly Digital report, covering social stats, ecommerce, fan club and database
Maintenance and execution of all things relating to artist Fan Club (with assistance from the Office Manager), including:
Management of fan club pre-sales, including:
All relevant pre-sale marketing, such as posts in the Facebook Group, creation of gated Wordpress splash pages, and creating/sending eblasts with appropriate information in a timely manner ahead of a pre-sale
Ensuring that pre-sale codes are properly distributed and assistant fan club members who are having issues relating to their pre-sale codes
Coordination about pre-sale execution, fan questions relating to tickets and venues, and awareness of ticket allotments
Active moderation of pre-sales when they are happening, answering fan questions via email and in the Facebook Group while communicating with ticketing team
Moderation of several Facebook groups and accounts. Including a fan inbox (with assistance from Office Manager).
Execution of meet and greet contests, including contest creation, display on tour page, choosing and notifying winners, coordinating winners
Creation and execution of fan club ''perks'' - such as random giveaways and contests and merchandise previews
Management of the Email Newsletter and Email Marketing
Creation of all eblast components and sending/scheduling eblasts to relevant groups of subscribers when necessary
Management of artist website
Website asset creation and upkeep - making sure announcements and priorities are properly reflected on the website
Add all announced tour dates to Tour section of website, displaying ticketing link and meet and greet contest link when necessary, and listing relevant information such as support acts, pre-sale and on-sale times, etc.
Add all released music to Music section of website with links to listen/buy
Upkeep of the FAQs and Zen Desk
Management of Artist's Ecommerce Store
Collaborate on merchandise design and creation with VP of Marketing and D2C, using outside design sources when relevant
Work with outside merchandise vendors for speciality products (pins, guitar string jewelry, etc.)
Coordinate with merchandise vendor/warehouse on merchandise mocks and creation, pricing, shipping, inventory, marketing sales plans, and customer service issues
Add all new merchandise items to online store backend via Shopify, including creating the merchandise image that displays, categorizing the item so it displays in the correct parts of the store, and setting up discount and coupon eligibility per item
Marketing of all merchandise items across artist socials, website and eblasts
Creation of posting calendar for how to properly market new items via socials, web and eblast
Management of the online store front appearance, including collection creation and navigation menu
Reporting of illegal merchandise on non-official ecommerce platforms
Live Event Coverage
On the ground coverage and social activation planning and execution at all relevant artist live events, including tour dates, fairs and festivals, award shows, and special appearances
Skills and Experience:
3-7 years experience preferred.
Strategic thinker and marketer - able to craft plans and strategies against business goals in addition to executing ideas.
Relevant job experience in media and entertainment.
Community management and fan club management experience.
Adept at social media performance and analytics - able to optimize paid and partner media efforts.
Deep experience with social media content, tools and trends mandatory.
Voracious consumer of content, culture and entertainment news. Lover of music.
Experience copywriter in the social media context.
Experience with video production - especially in a live and event context. Producing and executing everything from IG live to run and gun shooting in backstage and BTS situations.
Experience with social media photography, video editing, photoshop and light motion graphics/animation.
Attention to detail and ability to sweat the details in a fast paced environment.
Attitude of positivity, resilience and solution-seeking.
Experience with digital marketing products (or there equivalent) Shopify, Klaviyo, WordPress.
