Stadium Operations Coordinator

Position Summary

The Stadium Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day operation, staffing, maintenance, and event readiness of the stadium. This is a hands-on operational position responsible for coordinating seasonal staff, developing and communicating work schedules, assisting with game-day and event operations, and ensuring the facility is clean, safe, organized, and ready for guests, employees, players, and partners.

This position is not solely administrative or supervisory. The Stadium Operations Coordinator is expected to work alongside the operations team and seasonal staff and regularly perform physical and manual duties associated with maintaining and operating a stadium facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Seasonal Staffing & Scheduling
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training seasonal stadium operations and event staff.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure required hiring and onboarding documentation is completed before employees begin work.
• Develop and distribute seasonal staff schedules based on games, events, facility needs, and staffing requirements.
• Manage call-outs, schedule changes, replacements, and other day-to-day staffing needs.
• Track employee attendance, punctuality, and performance and communicate concerns to management and Human Resources as appropriate.
• Provide daily assignments and work direction to seasonal employees.
• Help ensure seasonal employees understand stadium policies, safety requirements, guest-service expectations, and assigned responsibilities.
• Assist with timekeeping and verification of hours worked when assigned.

Game-Day & Event Operations
• Assist with the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of baseball games, concerts, community events, private events, and other stadium activities.
• Serve in assigned operational roles during games and events.
• Coordinate stadium logistics including equipment placement, barricades, tables, chairs, signage, gates, event spaces, storage areas, and other operational needs.
• Conduct pre-event facility inspections to identify operational, safety, cleanliness, or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to operational issues that arise during games and events and escalate significant concerns to management.
• Coordinate with other departments including ticketing, security, concessions, grounds, marketing, partnerships, and guest services as necessary.
• Assist with vendor access, deliveries, loading/unloading, and event setup as assigned.
• Help ensure the stadium is returned to appropriate operating condition following games and events.

Stadium Maintenance & Upkeep
• Perform routine manual and physical work necessary to maintain the stadium and surrounding property.
• Assist with cleaning, pressure washing, trash removal, sweeping, moving equipment, organizing storage areas, and general facility upkeep.
• Move tables, chairs, barricades, signs, equipment, supplies, and other stadium materials.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks within the employee's training and capabilities.
• Inspect public and back-of-house areas and report damaged equipment, trip hazards, leaks, lighting issues, or other maintenance and safety concerns.
• Maintain storage, operations, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with weather-related preparations and cleanup as necessary.
• Support stadium conversions and setup changes between baseball games and other events.
• Work alongside seasonal employees and other operations personnel to complete physical tasks rather than functioning solely in a supervisory capacity.

Physical Requirements

The Stadium Operations Coordinator is a physically active position. The employee must be able to:
• Regularly stand and walk for extended periods, including during games and events.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and carry equipment and supplies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance or appropriate equipment.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Work on concrete, stairs, ramps, concourses, seating areas, and other stadium surfaces.
• Safely operate basic stadium and maintenance equipment after appropriate training.
• Perform physical work before, during, and after events, which may include extended shifts.
