BoBCat Fellowship
BoBCat is a start-up, multi-platform video studio and prodco focused on non-fiction and unscripted storytelling. Founded by TV hit makers Jeff Conroy and Thom Beers (Deadliest Catch, Storage Wars, Badlands Texas,...) alongside digital innovator, Sarah Bernard (HuffPost, Obama's White House,...), BoBCat's fellowship program is for newcomers to the entertainment and digital media business.
Our 2018 Fellows will help us develop and produce projects through direct, hands-on experience. This is a highly creative position (with some assistant stuff thrown in) --not a coffee and photocopy internship in disguise. We're looking for individuals who can write and prepare decks and/ or video presentations for network consideration. We are especially interested in candidates who are comfortable shooting and/or editing.
The most successful candidates will be very clear and compelling writers and have at least two of the following skillsets.
--Great phone skills. Can you cold call someone and enroll them in a project?
--Basic editing skills (AVID and/or Premiere). You don't have to be able to edit a feature, but you do have to be able to make an assembly/ string out and lay down a music track.
--Graphic design skills (InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Keynote)
What You've Got To Own:
--Your own laptop
--Cell phone
Location:
We are located in Burbank on the newly created Digiland campus near the Burbank Airport.
Compensation:
$500/week
Commitment:
4 weeks. 40 hrs/week.
Potential for longer terms.
Start Date: We are looking to hire as soon as possible. Rolling start dates beginning September 17, 2018.
