Boat Rocker Studios, Scripted, (''Scripted'') is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Finance department based in Los Angeles, California.
The Role:
The Accounting Manager will report to the Director, Finance, Boat Rocker Studios, Scripted, and will be responsible for assisting with monthly close as well as the day to day accounting of the company. The successful candidate will maintain adequate accounting records, prepare analyses, and reconcile data to ensure the accuracy of the company's financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist with monthly close by preparing and booking journal entries for corporate and production entities, reconciling key accounts, and preparing intercompany consolidation.
On a day to day basis, booking corporate cash activity, including processing of AP, recording AR, and production funding/billbacks.
Ensure internal controls are being followed.
Support the completion of annual audit.
Assisting with ad hoc projects as necessary.
Qualifications
3 - 5 years of experience in accounting.
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to handle highly confidential information discretely.
The ability to work in a fast paced environment while prioritizing deadlines.
Experiences that would be a plus:
Experience with IFRS accounting.
Experience with production accounting.
Experience with Netsuite and Smart Accounting.
