POSITION SUMMARY: Supports BMI’s Licensing efforts by providing reports, dashboards, analytics, and insights to support decisions and improve processes. Additionally, this role is responsible for data integrity and maintenance.
This role does not support any of BMI's IT departments.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
• Use various technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms to create, maintain, and update a growing suite of reports and dashboards that service the analytic needs of Licensing to support effective business decisions and/or processes.
• Performs detailed analysis on data sets and formally presents insights, recommendations and decisions to users, management, and executives using reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Executes data updates and inserts to maintain lead, sales, and customer relations processes and data integrity.
• Supports the quality of Licensing data through analysis, testing, monitoring, reporting, QA automation, and communication of data issues and improvements to management, Information Technology (IT), and subject matter experts.
• Assists the Licensing team with troubleshooting system and reporting issues.
• Works collaboratively with IT, Licensing, and other departments to ensure company and department goals and needs are met.
• Regular attendance.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent years of experience.
• Three (3) years of experience in business analysis, data analysis or related experience required.
• Advanced Salesforce reporting preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to write and create complex SQL database queries.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze/interpret complicated data sets to help facilitate the decision-making process, provide observations/recommendations.
• Ability to tell a story through formal presentation of the data analysis and recommendations to management and executives through data visualizations.
• Experience with SSRS and PowerBI is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel and Access.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• The ability to work both independent with minimal supervision and in a group.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including strong presentation skills with the ability tell a story and avoid unnecessary complexity.
