Part Time Job
This role will assist the Director of Media Relations in various capacities for the LA office in support of the Latin Creative and Film & TV Creative teams. The candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasize on organizational skills and attention to detail.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Provide administrative support for daily operations and special projects and/or initiatives.
• Fulfill press database entries and update on a regular basis.
• Handling guest lists, RSVPs, coordination of invitations for LA office events.
• Spanish translation of content when required.
• Support LA in-office events including taking photos, writing photo captions, and courtesy photos as needed.
• Assists with special projects including Latin and Film/TV awards such as inter-office logistics leading up to events and maintaining lists.
• Track press announcements and media clips including online, TV broadcast clips and print.
• Inputting all press releases and media alerts in Emma.
• Keep office calendar for LA events.
• Social media support for LA office affiliate visits or in-office events as needed.
• Maintain the PR closet which contains BMI signage, tripods, tear-away banners etc. and manage the log of borrowed items.
• Assist LA Director, Media Relations as needed.
• Supports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusion.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience, preferably in media relations/corporate communications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Highest level of confidentiality
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Strong understanding of social media
• Creative and strategic thinker with collaborative and flexible approach
• Pro-active and enthusiastic
