Timed Text Operator / Subtitle Editor

We are a media technology company responsible for taking film/tv content and processing/delivering it to video streaming platforms.

We are looking for an experienced Timed Text Operator / Subtitle Editor with solid technical skills, a good understanding of studio business and content lifecycle. He/she will be responsible for the creation, conforming and editing of captions, subtitles and descriptions for a variety of film/tv media clients that is being distributed digitally across multiple video platforms.

Responsibilities:
• Working on timed text orders (conforming, editing, QC and originating) as well as the quality control of the files before delivery
• Using cloud-based and local based software such as MacCaptions, EZTitles, etc.
• Following workflows for all processes related to CC and Subtitles creation, conform and editing
• Following timelines and projects and ensuring on-time delivery at the highest quality
• Capturing all client requirements and condensing into a clear and concise message to the team
• Following best practices across scripting and subtitling format streams

Requirements:
• Experience with MacCaptions, EZTitles or other professional timed text editing software
• Preferred but not required: BA/MA Degree in Communication, Production or Post-Production Studies or applicable equivalent experience
• 3-5 years experience in timed text operations
• Exceptional communication skills across all levels (verbal, written)
• Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter, independent learner
