ABOUT US
BLINK is a multiple award winning content and production company focused on the music and entertainment industries.
From our office in Los Angeles and our team in London we design, create and produce content for the music and events industry. Our primary area of business is in the creation of graphic and occasionally filmed screen visuals for LED stage sets of the biggest shows in the world; everything from groundbreaking MTV Awards XR performance, legendary Coachella headliners, to Vegas residencies. We are a full service production company with expertise in filming live performance and music documentaries for TV and streaming. We apply passion, expertise and creativity to every new challenge.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A passionate and driven technical individual with a strong interest in live music. Experience working in post production, motion graphics or animation is a must. You will need to be able to embrace the fast-paced and dynamic working environment associated with this exciting industry and will be expected to travel when required.
We recognize our industry is extremely specialist, so extensive workplace training will be provided. However this is not an entry level graduate position. We expect the successful applicant to have at least 2 years employment experience within the broader industry. To fulfil the expectations of the role the individual would need to have skills interpreting tasks and determining efficient technical solutions. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues, so excellent communication is paramount. Whilst it's not predominantly client facing, the candidate will have the confidence to liaise directly with clients when appropriate.
Although this is not explicitly a creative role, we are an extremely creative business. So an interest and passion for the type of work we do will be a big benefit. The role would involve taking apart animator / editor projects to create alternative feeds, stripping out clean layers and re-formats. Whilst prior knowledge of screens content formatting / mapping is not essential it would be a big help. At the very least you would need a technical aptitude that would allow you to quickly grasp non conventional screen surfaces and work out efficient solutions for content mapping.
We work in an ever evolving industry and you will be expected to stay current on new and emerging trends.
