This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Blind Nil is looking for Interns to have the opportunity to engage and support creative teams across development, production, editing and post. Through Blind Nil, Interns immerse themselves in the creative production process and learn from an emerging media and entertainment production company. Interns get an in-depth look at a growing slate of creative media and series along with first-hand production experience from development to broadcast.
We are looking for individuals currently enrolled in a degree program and live in the greater Austin area. We value individuals who are organized, bright, energetic, creative, and ambitious.
**This is an in-office minimum wage paid internship. We will not be considering remote applicants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct research on potential show concepts, formats, talent, and trends in the television industry
* Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new show concepts and formats
* Assist in the preparation of pitch materials, including pitch tapes, pitch decks, and one sheets
* Offer creative input and ideas during development meetings and brainstorming sessions
* Assist with internal development and production meetings
* Phone calls, phone interviews, writing, video interviewing, reviewing footage
* Provide administrative support to the production management team and office operations
* Management and organization of talent releases, location releases, and other legal documents required for production
* Organize receipts and expenses related to production activities
* On-set, hands-on experience when applicable
* Assist editors in post-production workflow

QUALIFICATIONS:
* An all around media enthusiast, with knowledge of current and past programming found on broadcast, streaming, cable networks and digital landscapes
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate within team
* Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications and/or graphic design
* Flexible, with a can-do attitude
* Ability to research stories and trend by utilizing social media, blogs, news sources and other more unconventional means
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with non-linear editing software such as Final Cut and Avid is preferred, but not a requirement
