App Programming, Bleacher Report (Temporary)

Your New Role..

The App Programming Temp is responsible for curating and creating engaging sports content for B/R's mobile app and website. They are tasked with covering breaking news, sending push notifications, curating content and fostering in-app communities.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Write push notifications about breaking news, viral moments in sports and sports culture
• Cover all major sports with a focus on NBA and NFL
• Program trending content about relevant leagues and teams across all platforms, work cross-functionally with editorial team for Bleacher Report articles
• Channel B/R's brand voice as you distribute content across platforms
• Strategically program video (highlights, live, VOD) across all platforms

Qualifications and Experiences...
• Passionate sports fan, 1-3 years of professional experience preferred
• Working nights and weekends essential, we work when sports are happening
• Daily user of the B/R app, understanding how it functions as a user
• A strong awareness of Bleacher Report's voice. When breaking news happens, be expected to know how B/R reacts on multiple platforms
• Expert in the world of sports and pop culture and social media trends
• Avid consumer of sports culture content across multiple platforms
• Understanding of memes and viral content
• Previous experience sending push notifications a plus
• Experience cutting highlights and short videos a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skillset, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $39,312.00 - $73,008.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
