Intern - Video Editing

Are you a college student looking to break into the world of digital media, podcasting, and content creation? The BLC Pod, a fast-growing relationship and culture podcast, is looking for a video editing intern to assist with producing high-quality content for YouTube and social media platforms.

This internship is a hands-on learning experience where you'll gain real-world skills in video production, editing, and digital marketing while working with a growing brand.

What You'll Be Doing
Each Thursday, we record a two-hour podcast that needs to be edited and prepared for release by Saturday. Your responsibilities will include:
1?? Full Episode Edit (Audio & Video) (negotiable)
- Cutting and trimming for a smooth flow (removing dead space, filler words, mishaps)
- Basic sound enhancement and color correction
- Adding intro/outro, lower-thirds, and occasional B-roll
2?? Segmented Edits (Long-Form Content)
- 3-4 key conversation clips from each episode
- Up to 10 sub-segments (avg. 9-12 minutes each)
3?? Short-Form Content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks)
- 12+ engaging vertical videos optimized for IG Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- More dynamic editing (text overlays, zooms, sound effects, and fast cuts)
4?? Additional Content (1-2 Weekly Videos Under 10 Minutes) (optional)
- Editing talking-head-style videos requiring light enhancements
Who You Are:
- - A college student studying Film, Media, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- - Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software
- - Passionate about podcasting, social media, and digital content creation
- - Basic understanding of audio editing for clear, professional sound
- - Interested in pop culture, relationships, and trending topics (a plus!)
