Full Time Job
This is an entry-level role for an independent documentary film sales and distribution position, which involves assisting the Executive Producer/Head of Impact at Black Valley Films. The main focus of this position is to assist EP in the development and execution of high-profile, long-term outreach initiatives and build strategic collaborations with partners to maximize the reach and impact of the company's current film, SHOT IN THE ARM.
The sales in this division are centered around non-traditional independent distribution models, leveraging Black Valley Film's reputation for excellence, quality, and the power of storytelling in the non-traditional market. Our primary goal is to partner the issues raised in our films with aligned stakeholders and further their organizational goals. Our films have the power to inspire and spark action in audiences globally.

General/Overall Key Responsibilities
Assisting Impact Sales & Distribution in planning and orchestrating work to ensure that the EP priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld.
Supporting BVF's EP in film impact sales and distribution
Assist EP with correspondence, organization and keeping records (i.e. CRMs, etc), make appointments, and carry out similar tasks
Support EP with keeping up on ongoing prospect communication (i.e. emails, ''warm touches'' emails, cold calls, setting meetings, etc.) - Eventually, with growth, take on managing independent communication with external prospects, clients, and partners by liaising with the EP on various projects and tasks.
Conducting lead generation and research to determine qualification.
Managing outreach with prospects (i.e. owning lead generation and discovery emails, creating draft templates, as needed.)
Assisting EP in creating, managing and organizing visual sales materials (i.e. pitch decks, proposals, key art, posters, forms, etc.)
Initiate and follow up on film festivals, awards and grant funding administrative duties (i.e., filling out forms, delegating to interns, etc.)
Required Skills
Must be self-starter, driven, well-organized, and able to think on feet
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in using Google Workspace, Calendar and Gmail, Google Drive (including spreadsheets)
Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects
Proficiency with office productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems (interest/experience in using Airtable is a plus.)
Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information related to the company and its staff
Bonus Experience/Interest
Adobe Suite (i.e. Ps, Pr, Id, Ai) Assisting Academy Award Nominated Director in graphic materials for Marketing & PR
Assistance in coordinating press and screening events (i.e. FYC lunches, dinners, etc)
