The Role:
Black Bear Pictures is looking for a business and legal affairs executive to oversee all aspects of development, production, post-production, delivery and distribution of Black Bear's Film and TV businesses (including without limitation the review, negotiation and drafting of agreements necessary to develop, produce and license Black Bear's projects).

What you'll do:
Structure, negotiate, and manage business deals for Black Bear's premium film and television projects.
Draft, review, and/or comment on a wide variety of agreements including above-the-line talent deals (including writers, directors, and on-screen talent), underlying rights deals, domestic and international licensing agreements, debt and equity financing agreements, and more.
Oversee production legal on all projects, with the assistance of outside production legal counsel as required.
Strategize with, advise, and counsel Black Bear senior executives on all business and legal affairs matters.

Your experience and skills:
5-10 years of Film and TV business and legal affairs experience.
Studio, Agency, In-House and/or production experience highly preferred.
The ability to effectively and efficiently negotiate and interact with talent agents, managers, outside counsel, and in-house legal and business affairs executives at other studios and distributors.
Strong understanding of the independent Film and TV space.
