Time Sales Representatives are responsible for selling airtime for TV stations, crafting advertising solutions that meet the unique needs of clients and ensuring the optimal use of broadcast schedules. In an industry where effective communication and advertisement drive success, this commissioned role stands out as pivotal bridging the gap between broadcasters and advertisers. Additionally, there are packages that our Sales Representatives also can include YouTube streaming sales in addition to television sales.
This position requires a strategic blend of sales acumen, market analysis, and interpersonal skills. It's an excellent opportunity for both seasoned sales professionals and those eager to break into the media and advertising world. Training and mentorship will be provided, and interns are also welcome.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Engage clients regularly through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
-Develop and maintain relationships with an already provided prospective client list that has local and regional businesses to understand their advertising needs, plus, expand this list.
-Create tailored advertising proposals and packages that align with client objectives.
-Collaborate with programming and production teams to ensure commercial spots align with broadcast schedules.
-Track sales performance, client feedback, and campaign effectiveness.
-Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
-Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and audience demographics.
Qualifications
-Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
-Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
-Comfortable prospecting and cold calling new business leads.
-Basic understanding of media, advertising, or marketing principles preferred (training available).
-TV ad sales or marketing experience preferred, but not required.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, or willingness to learn.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if client visits are required).
