Additional Information
BK Studios, also credited as BK Studios productions, most successful show to date is the broadcast TV and Roku channel talk show ''A Captain's Log'' still running in production on season four today. BK Studios was the production company that started the Up on High Ground franchise with the production of the initially, un-aired 2013 pilot television episode titled ''Friends, Family, and Freeloaders''. Ultimately this episode became the second episode when the television series required an additional pilot episode to precede this one titled ''Superiority of the High and Mighty Kind-ness'' which began airing in October 2014. BK Studios was credited with the ''In associated with'' tag once the parent production company Brayden Patterson Productions assumed the main production company LLC and licensing in 2014 prior to officially airing Up on High Ground on The CW and Pureflix. Like most Midwestern studios during the 1990s and 2000s, BK Studios had a stable of annually-contracted actors at little to no cost and a small group of behind-the-scenes production staffers. Such talent moved from production to production as needed on the studio lot or on location for productions.
BK Studios has continued to co-produce pilot programs in the realm of game-shows, scripted dramas, and comedies to date. Since the cancellation of Up on High Ground, none of the pilots have surfaced into distribution deals, but the studios and producer Bryan Kreutz have ventured numerous times into the United Kingdom for prospective pilot scripts and undeveloped game shows for content. A fourth television talk show is in the works as of July 2024, with a working title of ''Icons: Between the Stars'', centering on science fiction, horror, fantasy, and animation news and interviews, being developed for 2025.
The production companies BK Studios owned by Bryan Kreutz and Sinema Inc. with Ayushi Khurana, Co-founder & Head of Productions at Sinema Inc., both produce the program in Glendale, California. The series also has an impending spin-off TV talk show interview series titled ''Icons: Between the Stars'' centering on a holistic Sci-fi, animation, horror and fantasy genre, set for production in the late summer of 2026.
BK Studios permanently moved from the St. Louis Missouri region to Southern California in 2018. BK Studios is the pioneer for being the only production company to produce three different TV talk shows with the same producer, who also directed and hosted one of the series in front of the camera. The program ''A Captain's Log'' is broadcast television's only Star Trek talk show and has official Paramount Press-Express backing to produce the talk show.
