This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Calling all pop culture fans, short-form video lovers and data-driven team players: Billboard is looking for a responsible, eager, detail-oriented, very online intern who is well-versed in the music industry to join our social media team.
Daily responsibilities include posting news to Billboard's various social channels (58M followers), brainstorming and executing social-first content, assisting with event promotion, analyzing social platform data, tracking audience growth and more.
We’re always looking for fresh, creative perspectives on the ever-evolving online landscape, so a proactive intern will be well-versed in the latest trending topics, be able to view Billboard’s social posts from multiple perspectives and understand that the social media conversation never stops. The social media intern will work on tasks that involve editorial, video, events, data, branded content and more.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing, have experience crafting clean copy for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok), familiarity with Google tools (docs, sheets, etc.) and ideas for how Billboard can continue to evolve with the modern internet landscape.
This Internship pays $16.50 per hour.
Bonus points for applicants pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, or marketing, and those with graphic design or video editing skills!
• This is a paid, 24 hour/week, 16-week internship.
• Start date will be early to Mid-January
• Applicants must live and work in either New York or California to be considered.
