Billboard: Sales Director
Through its iconic charts, breaking news, multi-platform storytelling and world class events, Billboard is the ultimate barometer of success in music. The Billboard partnerships team is hiring an NYC-based Sales Director who is a strategically experienced seller, partnering with brands in the Auto, Tech, Telco, Spirits, CPG, and Entertainment categories, selling 360 brand partnership programs that include branded content, tentpole activations/sponsorships, and digital media.
Successful candidates will have:
• Proactively develop new revenue opportunities and build a robust pipeline to meet and exceed annual sales goals.
• Identify, pitch, and close high-value brand partnership deals across Billboard properties.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with media agencies, brand marketers, and decision-makers across key verticals (Auto, Tech, Telco, Spirits, CPG, and Entertainment)
• Solution-selling expertise with a strategic, consultative approach.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance sales environment.
• Prioritize in-person meetings and client entertainment to build relationships
• Ability to work with all stakeholders, including brand clients, agency, social, creative, and PR teams
• Must be flexible and move with a high sense of urgency when opportunities strike
We are seeking:
• 6 years of experience in sponsorship sales, content partnerships, media sales, or business development–preferably in other matrixed media organizations.
• Strong relationships with media agency decision-makers and brand-direct marketing executives.
• Experience negotiating complex, multi-platform, multi-year deals.
• Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce to track pipeline and revenue progress.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Typical wage range: $140k - $170k Commission.
