Billboard: Managing Producer, Video
California - Los Angeles Office or New York Office
Penske Media, owner of over 20 leading media brands, is looking for an experienced Managing Producer to join the Billboard video team in either the Los Angeles or New York office. This role is a critical part of the video team, responsible for overseeing video production, driving creative strategy, and ensuring the highest quality of content across all Billboard video series and events.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all editorial content production and production teams, including post-production
• Own all aspects of video content production from concept through content posting
• Provide creative direction to achieve viewership and revenue goals
• Ensure quality control and meet the highest standards for all projects
• Continuously improve production processes and implement best practices
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into projects as appropriate
• Prepare for content shoots and attend as necessary
• Ensure content is relevant, engaging, and strategically aligned with platform algorithms
• Use analytics to measure content performance and refine strategies to increase audience reach
• Collaborate with cross-functional leads and team members to solve issues creatively and efficiently
• Participate in creative brainstorming and write creative briefs, scripts, treatments, and copy
• Oversee production for live or special event-related content both in-studio or on location (Grammys, SXSW, Billboard’s Latin Music Week)
Requirements:
• Minimum 15+ years of video production experience at a publisher, network/streamer, or studio
• Extensive experience as a creative director or strategist with a proven track record of producing successful content for YouTube or other digital platforms
• Experience leading teams of 5-10 people, including producers, videographers, and post-production teams
• Expertise in developing and overseeing production operations that promote efficiency and cost savings
• Knowledge of digital content consumption metrics and how to use them to inform content decisions
• Self-starter comfortable working with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Understanding of fair use and news production
• Livestreaming experience a plus
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
Salary Range:
