Job Description:
A Writer/Producer/Casting Director is seeking a reliable, resourceful and self-motivated individual as an assistant to work on several creative projects with her for entertainment non-profit organization and for her production company. The intern will perform heavy administrative and event planning tasks. This is a very unique position for someone who wants to build hand-on experience and strong contacts to further their own entertainment career.
Responsibilities include event planning tasks such as sending confirmations and developing check-in lists and bio hand outs, running errands, attending industry networking events in the evening, researching online, posting event online, scheduling and participating in board meetings by taking notes, preparing and typing up documents, and assisting with pre-pre-production for various creative projects. Major phone (via text) and email communication.
This position is ideal for someone seeking a learning opportunity more about the industry as a whole as well as event management and film/tv producing. If you have an out-going and likable personality, is responsible, organized and hardworking, we invite you to apply!

Founded in May 2005, Breaking into Hollywood, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists aspiring professionals in the entertainment industry with achieving their goals. We encourage our members to pursue their careers with creativity, enthusiasm and integrity. Past event speakers include executives at Disney, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, GRAMMYs, other studios, talent agencies and prominent producers, writers, actors, etc.
Requirements:
• Must have 24-HR access to computer and internet
• Six month commitment (required)
• Reliable transportation & live in Los Angeles County
• Must be excellent with using Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to take direction and work independently
• Must be highly organized.
• Great interpersonal communication skills. Love people.
• Available to attend ALL events, which are mostly in the evenings/night.
• Must have a passion for diversity and the entertainment industry!
