About the Role
We're looking for a Social Media Manager who knows how to turn long-form content into platform-native, high-performing social-and understands that social is a growth engine, not a checkbox.
This role requires strong judgment, speed, and taste. You'll manage publishing, optimize performance, and help translate podcasts, YouTube, and thought leadership into content that actually converts attention into audience.

Key Responsibilities
• Comprehensive per client social strategy
• Content Management & Publishing
• Manage day-to-day posting across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X as applicable)
• Schedule, publish, and QA all posts using approved tools (e.g., Metricool, Later, native schedulers)
• Ensure copy, captions, hashtags, and formatting are platform-native and intentional
• Coordinate posting calendars aligned with launches, releases, and priorities
Content Strategy & Optimization
• Translate long-form audio/video into compelling short-form social content
• Identify which moments, clips, or angles will perform best on each platform
• Optimize hooks, captions, and framing to drive retention and engagement
• Track performance and adjust strategy based on real signals-not vibes
Community & Brand Presence
• Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions (as scoped)
• Flag audience insights, recurring questions, or content opportunities
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across platforms
Reporting & Communication
• Deliver clear, concise performance updates (what worked, what didn't, why)
• Communicate proactively about delays, blockers, or gaps
• Take feedback well and iterate quickly
Required Experience & Skills
• 2-4+ years experience managing social media for creators, podcasts, or media brands
• Strong understanding of short-form video strategy (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
• Excellent copy instincts-hooks, captions, CTAs
• Experience with scheduling and analytics tools (Metricool, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple platforms and deadlines without hand-holding
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, creator-led environments
• Understanding of platform analytics and the ability to find story the data tells us
Strongly Preferred
• Experience with podcasts, YouTube creators, or personality-driven brands
• Understanding of how social supports larger goals (growth, subscribers, sales)
• Ability to collaborate closely with producers, editors, and strategists

• Not just a graphic-posting role
• Not a ''wait for instructions'' position
• Not experimental without accountability
• This role requires ownership, judgment, and follow-through.

• Content is posted consistently, on time, and correctly
• Social performance improves because decisions are intentional
• Communication is proactive, not reactive
• The brand feels active, cohesive, and alive across platforms
• The analytics you're responsible for match your recommendations on next steps
