While this is a combo position it's primary function is as a Video Editor. As a Video Editor you will ingest, organize, and edit video footage (live action/B-roll/screen capture/multicamera) with accompanying narrative tracks, overlays, and graphics as applicable, while ensuring high quality. This position requires clear communication with keys, to ensure success. Video Editor will perform soup-to-nuts post-production, taking raw footage from assembly to full color-corrected delivery master that has mixed and leveled audio tracks. Assess and resolve technical and creative issues. Achieve continuity between multiple projects while working against very aggressive deadlines. Actively maintain expertise in the latest technology trends, techniques, and tools related to post-production.
WHILE NOT EVERY PROJECT, IN SOME CASES YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO FINISH SAME-DAY TURNAROUND EDITS TO COMPLETION. SO PLEASE BE QUICK
This position's secondary function, called upon as-needed, is as a Videographer. Videographer will work alongside and take direction from Head of Production and Content Producer conceptualizing look and style of content, as needed, shoot video footage (live action/B-roll/green screen/etc) with little to no support; both in office, studio and on-location. This requires clear communication with keys, to ensure success. Videographer will perform soup-to-nuts audio & video recording, taking a raw concept or scripted plan from the page, through the lens and ultimately onto SD card. Must be able to be a jack-of-all traits on set, while working professionally alongside others, in any environment. Assess and resolve technical and creative issues. Achieve continuity between multiple projects while working against very aggressive deadlines. Actively maintain expertise in the latest technology trends, techniques, and tools related to planning and recording of audio and video elements.
The ideal candidate will have a passion, experience or at least some rudimentary understanding of firearms, gun laws and or shooting sports as a hobby. This will only help perform the job better, and also better understand the content being produced.

Requirements
Key Qualifications
At least 2 years of video editing, graphics and post-finishing experience working on short-form television, digital content, social media, and/or in an internal corporate media production environment; as well as professional videography, cinematography and similar camera operator experience
Strong understanding and knowledge of nonlinear video and graphics production, organization, and storage
Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects with the ability to efficiently navigate projects, as well as the ability to know/use/learn new software in the future
Strong understanding and knowledge of digital video cinematography, lighting, audio and similar
Proficiency with digital video cameras (including but not limited to BlackMagic, Sony, Panasonic, GoPros, RED and the like), lighting techniques and audio recording, as well as the ability to know/use/learn new software in the future
Must demonstrate strong and creative video & audio recording techniques through proper equipment manipulation & set-up, indoor/outdoor scene lighting, clean audio recording, as well as a command of shot framing, knowledge and efficiency in use of pro video accessories to achieve stylized shots
Must be creative, highly motivated and action oriented
Must be able to take direction, adhere to a schedule and delivery in a timely fashion
Must demonstrate strong and fluent editorial techniques through proper timing, pacing, organization, and asset management as well as a command of music and sound editing
Be a project and time management superstar within a SUPER fast-paced environment
Be able to work within a team as well as work independently with minimal supervision, as needed
Desired Qualifications
Working knowledge of color correction tools
Motion graphics experience a plus
Ability to anticipate and effectively communicate and solve practical problems or issues
Know-how and experience troubleshooting and solving issues with Mac computers including macOS and related software, but also know how to work with PC-based systems as well (a plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
Applicants with experience, knowledge or a passion for firearms, outdoors and/or shooting sports a go to top of the list!
Education
BA or BS in communications, art, film, broadcast, audio, media production, or related field (preferred but not required)
Additional Requirements
Must submit a demo reel / portfolio that clearly demonstrates your editing ability (both visual and audio work). Samples of motion graphics work also highly appreciated. Also submit cinematographer / videographer samples. Resume is a must.
This is a full-time/staff position located in Gainesville, FL.
