BetterLife is looking to hire a Content and Media Manager who will manage the media and podcast team responsible for curating media content, writing scripts, filming content, editing content, and posting content across multiple channels. This role will oversee and manage this whole process, working with team members who are responsible for each step in the content creation process. This role does not require editing, production, or active social media management but past experience managing a media team, marketing team, or brand management is required. The ideal candidate has strong management experience. They are systems and process minded, detail oriented, and can excel in a management role.
This position is remote. There is an opportunity to relocate to Maui if interested but not required.
Build and manage a content production system to efficiently post content across multiple channels for multiple businesses with checks and processes to ensure the quality of content
Manage team of editors, designers, and strategists to ensure content production is properly executed
Work closely with Brandon Turner to oversee the implementation of social media strategy
Coordinate with team members across multiple businesses (such as BetterLife, Open Door Capital and others) to prioritize marketing efforts and needs
Build processes to monitor and report on media metrics and KPIs to ensure content is effective and impactful
Monitor the growth of social media channels to ensure all channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) are growing
Create and manage a detailed content calendar
Create and maintain a content review process for all content and media across multiple brands and businesses
Work with the podcast team to assist with coordinating and planning podcast recordings
Ensure social channels and YouTube are growing and hitting forecasted growth metrics
3+ years of project management experience
3+ years of experience managing teams
Past experience managing a marketing, media team or working in brand management. Ideally, the candidate has experience working with an influencer, content creation team, podcast team, or marketing department to coordinate content, posting, implementing strategy, monitoring growth and similar tasks.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and priorities are balanced effectively.
